Scottish Highland Pistol, steel, Murdoch Style
This is a true to original replica of a Scottish flintlock pistol as it was very popular with the officers in Scottish highlands during the 18th Century. It is a high-calibre, smooth-barrelled pistol with flintlock, completely made of steel. This model has been manufactured at Christie & Murdoch’s and designed by Thomas Murdoch, one of the most famous gunsmiths. Just like the original this elegant and richly ornamented replica has a hook to attach a leather strap for wearing the weapon under the armpit. With Claymore sword and flintlock musket this pistol has been part of the standard equipment of each and every soldier of a Scottish highland-regiment.
Our firearm replicas are intended for decoration or re-enactment. The muzzles have not been drilled, so the weapon is not functional. A professional gunsmith can drill the muzzle and cahnge this non-functional decoration pistol into a real firearm.
A beautiful item for every collection and an indispensable accessory for re-enactors.
