British M-1831 General Officers Sword with Scabbard
British officers were often particular about the appearance of their uniform and armament; The Duke of Wellington for example, carried a sabre that had a mameluke-style handle based on his experiences in India.
The subsequent new design of the officers' swords from around 1831 was based on that of which Wellington carried. This replica has a blade made of EN45 spring steel which is sharpened but has no final edge. The decorated cross guard is made of brass, while the handle is made of wood and horn and is in the mameluke style.
The sabre comes with a matching sword sheath made of sheet metal including a support ring.
