Sword – Attack on Titan

This decorative sword was inspired by the blades used by the protagonists in the anime Attack on Titan.

Its approx. 93 cm long blade is made of high carbon steel. The uniquely shaped handle is painted black, has a total length of approx. 21 cm and has a movable lever.

Use in anime / manga
In anime and manga, these special blades were developed to be able to battle the Titans. There they are an integral part of the „omni-directional mobility gear“ developed by mankind to compensate the size difference to their enemies. The swords' blades are made of special, ultra-hard steel that is capable of harming the Titans. However, the blades quickly wear down in battle, which is why every soldier carries several sets of spare blades. Their purpose is to use the ODM to reach the back of a Titan's neck and cut out a piece. As this is the only way to kill a Titan.
